Data-Driven Excellence
5-Day Applied Statistics Program for Research and Industry
Do you want to gain advanced data analysis skills and improve your business processes? Do you need to work with statistical methods in your research or teaching?
Sign up for Data-Driven Excellence, this intensive course is designed for academics and employees of industrial companies who are involved in research, production, quality, digitization and data processing.
The training will take place on 26–30 January 2026 in Brno at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Brno University of Technology.
The programme will also be offered in Czech at the end of August.
Popis
5-Day Applied Statistics Program for Research and Industry
The programme Data-Driven Excellence is based directly on the lecturers‘ experience of research and teaching at universities. It also draws inspiration from everyday experiences with the Six Sigma methodology for process improvement in practice.
We will introduce you to the basics of statistics and working in the Minitab statistical program. You will learn how to perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA). We will explain what a stable process means and how to use linear regression. We will see how statistical tests work for data-driven decision making and how to apply them to your data. Design of Experiment (DoE) will greatly speed up and refine the processing of your experimental results, including their interpretation and presentation.
The programme Data-Driven Excellence is held in cooperation with Brno University of Technology.
Course Overview
You will attend five days of eight hours each, for a total of 40 hours of training in the presence of an experienced trainer.
The course uses Minitab statistical software and combines the necessary theory with practical examples, simulations and discussions.
Thanks to simulation games, you will learn to apply the methods immediately in practice.
